The Minotaur, shaped like a manbut with horns and hooves and horribly evil eyes, could represent the bestial side of humanity. Today's society is a dog-eat-dog world with selfishness and cruelty rampant. Can humanity today escape its bestial nature?

I don't think so. Man has always been killing each other ever since the first Neanderthal clubbed another over the head to steal fire. I see nothing to indicate that man will ever change.
