How did groupthink occur and what/who took a stand against it?

Groupthink occurs when the group is being pressured by others to think the same way. Certain Jurors (Juror #3 and Juror #8) just want to maintain their prejudices or want to go home. Juror #8 refuses to be manipulated by the group and enters not guilty.
