Tsotsi lost control when Boston emotionally pushed him. Tsotsi's trigger was the mention of his mother. I think Boston's speech brought up Tsotsi's major vulnerability. His mother is such a painful memory. We find that out later in the story. This is perhaps the beginngs of Tsorsi's self-reflections.
