Winston thinks the only things that can break the party involve primal human urges and anarchy. Violent and sexual urges: the need for corruption and unorthodoxy are things that can transcend the Party's control. The only other hope Winston has is that the Proles, they make up 85% of the population, somehow get enlightened and organized enough to destroy the Party and Big Brother.
