Explain how Winston could betray Julia and no longer have any feelings for her. (Part 3)

Winston's fear leads him to renounce his love for Julia. He's been completely broken through torture and mind control. At this point, Winston would do anything to make it stop..... they're not going to kill him because they want him to give himself over. Thus, when he cannot take it anymore, he gives them Julia.
