From his dream in section vii, what do we learn about Winston's childhood, in particular about his mother?

His mother was caring but frail. She used to be strong and "statuesque" but she is reduced to being afraid and worn out. She tries to help her sick daughter but with futile results. Winston recalls being a monster of a child. At one point he steals the chocolate rations from his starving mother and sister. When he returns they are gone. Still he remembers that somehow they gave their life for him.
