The three girls entered the store in nothing but their bathing suits. One girl was chubby, tan, and dressed in a green plaid two-piece. The narrator also makes a comment about her "broad soft-looking can". The second girl, also chubby, wasn't tan and looked as if she'd just gotten her duit and hadn't yet been to the beach..... she was pale. The last girl was tall, had black hair, a long chin, and sunburnt skin.
