At the end of Stave Four, Scrooge comes to understand that one's actions ripple, spread, and affect others. Tiny Tim's death, his parent's grief, and the way the family is only bound stringer by their grief, alters Scrooge's perception of life. In comparison to the love that surrounded Tiny Tim, Scrooge's lonely death prompts him to embrace the goodness in life and understand that he own actions can bring goodness into the lives of others.
