compare two stories a christmas carol and the little match girl

Two important differences in the text are the families.... our most prominent comparison would be between Eve (the little match girl) and Tiny Tim. Tiny Tim comes from a loving family that makes the best of what they have..... his home is filled with love. Eve, however, does not have the love and happiness within her home..... she is often abused and beated by her father.

Another difference can be found in the stories' endings. In A Christmas Carol, Tiny Tim lives. In The Little Match Girl, Eve goes to Heaven..... but the final scene leaves us with a picture of the frozen child holding match sticks in her hand.
