A Christmas Carol
how does old man fezziwigs treatment of his employees differ from scrooges treatment of his clerk?

Stave two
As we see during the trip with the ghost of Christmas past, Fezziwig ran a kinder gentler place of work. I think it was kind of like working for Apple except with more fiddle music and ale. Under Fezziwig employees were treated to fair pay, parties and much merriment. Fezziwig reminds Scrooge of a better time, a time that he had long forgotten. Scrooge on the other hand treats Bob Cratchit like an indentured servant. Cratchit seems to work long hours in the cold with little compensation. This is the whole idea of the play and old Ebenezer’s eventual transformation.
