How would you describe Bob Cratchit's relationship with Scrooge?

Cratchit is Scrooge's overworked employee, a timid man afraid to stand up to his boss's demanding ways. Cratcit is submissive to his boss's every whim. Of course Scrooge takes advantage of Cratchit's inherent kindness and meek character until he (Scrooge) has his metaphysical revelation.
