A Doll's House

Explain and elaborate on the importance of masks and masquerading in A Doll's house.

How is Nora's change at the end of the story foreshadowed? In your opinion, why do you think the author saw Nora's leaving her family as not only a necessity, but the right thing to do?

Nora is a strong woman who needed to leave for not not only her sake but for the sake of her family. She needed to be the strong woman that she was meant to be. The importance of masks in this play is to show how one can lose ones own identity and become something that they are not.
