A Doll's House
What are Dr. Rank's strengths and weaknesses?
Ibsen
Ibsen
Dr. Rank has few strengths and many weaknesses. He's a symbol of of what we consider moral corruption within a society, but he is also quite sincere in his actions (there's his strength and the reason I like the character). His weaknesses come from his love for flirting with beautiful women (they're safer than single women), he's half in love with Nora (his best friend's wife), and he's dying (possibly the reason he's so emotionally forward). Many people list the use of his last name (Rank), with the way he's supposed to be perceived. Just think about the definition.
