What are the functions of the nursery, hospital, and the loan in A Doll's House

The loan provides the intial conflict.... it was a necessity for Nora in regard to saving her husband's life. None-the-less, the secrecy of the loan provides the initial conflict with Krogstad, who she owes.... and who knows her secret. The nursery is most aptly described as the setting of her daughter's doll house, and symbolic in that it represents the way Torvald and Nora's father have treated her all of her life. Nora doesn't want to be or be seen as a child..... she wants to become the woman she is for herself, and in the eyes of others.
