Would the play still be relevant if it were set in modern day times?

In my opinion, the play is timeless. There will always be families in which the mother stays home to care for the children.... there will always be sickness, debt, and desperation to survive. What happened to Nora could happen to anyone.

No it wouldn’t

The reason is because if you check nowadays ,women or rather ladies are the ones going to work and leaving their husbands to care for children or they employ a house maid to do so.In modern life women have become like angels where some of them don’t even respect their husbands.
