A Jury of Her Peers

The play version of Susan Glaspell's "A Jury of Her Peers" is called Trifles. What do both titles suggest about the theme?

Both title have ties to women. Trifles is something men claim that women worry about.... the small, unimportant things. These are the things that Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peter's notice.... the things they base their judgment on. "A Jury of Her Peers" is very similar..... the women once again make their own judgments, based upon their own experiences. They consider the things that only women would consider, and thus, understand the crime.
