Chapter 17, pg 164-165: what is the significance of beah's first dream about his family?

In this dream, Beah dreams of his family amidst the killing and devastation of war...... but they are unhurt. This dream is significant because for the first time he comes to understand that their murders were not his fault, and as Esther's assurances sink in, he is able to cast off the guilt he has been carrying.
