What are some thoughts and feelings the protagonist has in the novel A Long Way Gone?

Throughout the novel, Ishmael expereinces an entire spectrum of emotions. Grief for his family, anger at the war, and suspicion of everyone around him. He feels relief, distrust, and occassionally he feels nothing..... the acts of war he became a part of made him numb.
