Act 2 Scene 1
Walter feels inferior to George. He begins to challenge George about his "rich educated background". Walter tells George about his business plans and George snubs him. Walter escalates his anger when George calls him a bitter man.
"And you-ain't you bitter, man?...Bitter? Man, I'm a volcano."
