I just need to find some themes in Chapter 8 for my essay. If you could provide some quotes with it as well, it will be really helpful.
One of the main themes in Chapter Eight is war and rivalry. Other themes in this section include identity and sports (athletics).
"So the war swept over like a wave at the seashore, gathering power and size as it bore on us, overwhelming in its rush, seemingly inescapable, and then at the last moment eluded by a word from Phineas; I had simply ducked, that was all, and the wave's concentrated power had hurtled harmlessly overhead."
"What makes you so special? Why should you get it and all the rest of us be in the dark?"
The momentum of the argument abruptly broke from his control. His face froze. "Because I've suffered," he burst out.

So those three quotes are for war and rivalry?
The first quote can be attributed to war; the second to rivalry.
What about the third
The second set of quotes go together..... they're dialogue between characters.
