What does Tree-ear first do at the Rocks of the Falling Flowers?

When he first arrives, Tree-ear climbs to the top of Rock of the Falling Flowers and looks out at the landscape before him, intent upon remembering everything he sees so that he can tell Crane-man about it when he returns home.
