Blanche has become involved with a man much younger than she is and he ultimately kills himself.  She then becomes involved with many men and is seen as a fallen woman by the town where she lives.  Ultimately, she is raped by Stanley, her brother-in-law and is finally sent away by her family when they can no longer deal with her delusions and illusions.
