What was Blanche’s explanation for the loss of Belle Reve?

Blanche blames the loss of Belle Reve on poor money management..... management prior to her taking over the paperwork on the family home.

Stanley doesn't trust Blanche because of all the beautiful and expensive belongings she's brought into his home. Let's face it.... the money came from somewhere, and Blanche didn't make that kind of money as a teacher.
