compare a thousand splendid suns and the kite runner

The kite runner...

is there a character that appears in both books. My daughters teacher said there is one. I cannot figure out who it is.

Jackie, the character who has appeared in both books, is Zaman, he is the orphan house director,

in the Kiterunner, u hear about him when Older Amir is looking for Sohrab,

and in ATSS, you hear about him when Laila drops of Azziza to the orphan house

Honestly i believe that both books appeal to different people. I enjoyed Kite Runner but I LOVED A Thousand Splendid Suns... I think it was because Kite Runner was about males and Suns was about females. My uncle read Suns and could not get into it...

I like The Kite Runner, but I love A Thousand Splendid Suns!!
