Why does Mariam request no visitors when she is put in prison?

I think she wants to feel no more before her execution. Marium is trying to put herself in a different head pace. She wants the Taliban to get no more satisfaction from her. She is popular in the woman's prison because she has done what so many other women had dreamed of.
