How do Carl Lee and Ozzie convince Reverend Agee to cough up the cash? Explain.

Jake opens the door to a side office and ushers in Carl Lee and Ozzie. Carl Lee sternly instructs him to give the money to Gwen for family expenses. He proceeds to threaten the pastor, saying he will "tell ever nigger I know that you're a lyin' crook." When Agee claims to be hurt, Ozzie steps in and reminds Agee of all the dirty little secrets he could tell the congregation, such as the purchase of a stolen Lincoln, kickbacks from a funeral home, a DUI and even an encounter with "a woman of ill repute." Agee says he can get the money to the Haileys "awful damn quick."
