how does the short story question the wisdom of the church?
Explain
Explain
THe Church seems to be more clueless about the Old Man than the villagers. Father Gonzaga is sceptical from the beginning. He is lost in the traditional illusion of an angel looking like a bright white cherub. Ironically he has lost the meanings of Christ's teachings or even Christ himself. The further irony being that the Church once again rebukes all that is truly from God.
