A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings
Why is called "A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings" rather than "An Angel?"

I think that Gabriel García Márquez wants the reader to see both worlds. We see the man as a forlorn angel who has come to man only to be rebuked as Christ was. We can also see this man a freak of nature, an abomination meant to be scorned. Gabriel García Márquez uses this fantasy realism to reflect human nature in all its curiosity, kindness and horribleness.
