I think on many levels this essay in its entirety applies to people in many countries. Take, for instance, parts Pakistan or Afghanistan where women are shot for even trying to go to school. One of Wollstonecraft's critical points is the need for women to have an education commensurate with their position in society. Although many of her points have been realized in Western countries, there is still many places where women struggle for the basic rights that she espouses.
