Where do you stand on the conflict between protecting the environment and promoting economic progress? I cant form my own opinion on this need ideas

This is only a short answer space and your question is pretty complex. Personally, I think the environment should be our only priority. My logic is simple: if we ruin our environment, which we are doing at the moment, it won't matter if an economy exists or not and there is no other planet that we have. That is just my opinion.
