How did Hamilton contribute to the changes made to the Articles of Confederation? How did his views on the Articles of Confederation compare to his views on the United States Constitution, which replaced the Articles?

This is only a short answer space.Initially, Hamilton wanted to get rid of the Articles altogether and start from the beginning. A Nationalist and mercantilist, Hamilton supported a strong Federal government and the government's ability to raise cash..... in other words, taxes. Hamilton was largely responsible for creating the Federal Reserve Bank.

– That power which holds the purse strings absolutely must rule.
Alexander Hamilton, 1780
