Alias Grace

Pg.478- Dr. Dupont says:"I have explained to her that all she has to do is listen to me, and then go to sleep." We, the readers, know that De. Dupont is also Jeremiah the Peddler and has told Grace in the past taht she would make a very good clairvoyant; this casts everything that is about to happen into doubt- it is real or it is a show, knowingly put on by Grace and Jeremiah? What is your opinion? Why?
