How does Quinn change?

Over the course of the novel, Quinn struggles to define his own beliefs about race and racism. At times, he tries to ignore or even completely erase the incident at Jerry’s from his mind. Quinn, however, is a dynamic enough character to recognize that he needs to be part of the solution about racial injustice rather than a bystander.
