What do we know about Rashad?

On pages five and six, we learn that Rashad likes to party. He doesn't seem to like school, he definitely doesn't like wearing a uniform, he dislikes being a member of the school's ROTC, and he doesn't think he needs it. He only joined the ROTC because his father made him.
