How does George see his father? Attitude towards him?

George had cut off all contact with Steve (his father) thinking that Steven was to blame for the faulty airplane parts. When the play opens George has just visited his father (Steven) for the first time. George has become convinced of his father's innocence and Joe Keller's guilt.
