What Chris have told to Ann in his monolog and what it says about Chris?

I'm not sure if you are referring to a particular monologue or one if he did one. Chris says that maybe they should be trying to forget Larry, and Mother is furious. Chris is actually one of the more sympathetic characters in the book. He is courting Ann, he wants things to be different for them than the current family dynamics.
There was only one Monologue(the one with the rat-race,when he talked about his soliders...)
Yes I see, Chris is explaining too Ann why he feels so guilty about a relationship with her. He talks about the sacrifice his men made for each other, the sacrifice they made for him. Now Chris has trouble going back to his old life, everything "has blood on it". Even Ann, to an extent, represents this idea.
Thanks alot!
No worries!
