Why is Annie worried that Keller might be not innocent?

Ann is worried because her father has spent many years in prison, as a result of sending the faulty parts. Keller, on the other hand, walked free. If her father was, in fact, innocent or only partially involved, that would mean that Ann had mistreated him wrongly.
