They want the leftovers and get into an argument. Their lieutenant comes over and orders Ginger to serve all the food.
Kemmerich lost his leg because of a wound in battle, it was amputated.
Paul genuinely feels the loss of a friend, whereas Muller wants to take possession of the man's boots.
