HELP: loss of innocence and youth

paul tjaden and kropp all lost their innocence during the draft of war whn himmelstoss torcherd them. when they first got out of boot camp and they began to see soldiers dieng they then realized that death was real and no solidier was irreplaceble (example, when soldiers took boots from dead soldiers)they lost innocence of life whn they had to num them selves to death..even of their most important friendz...they knew they were expendable so all innocence was gone.use the last line of chap1 to help u out....:-)
