so im reading the book from chapter 17 to 18 and it says what did luke learn about the population police and so i looked at the summary but its still not saying about what he learned so can someone help me
Luke learns that the Population Police were formed because of the passing of the Population Law.
"'It's all about food,' Jen said. 'The Government was scared we'd all run out of food if the population kept growing. That's why they made you and me illegal, to keep people from starving.'"
Jen's information made Luke womder if it was his fault the tramp was starving, and he was happy to realize that his siblings were well fed.
