Animal Farm

The animals represent the masses (people) who are manipulated by fear. One can ask this question throughout history and even today (perhaps the American election) why some parts of the population gravitate towards the politics of fear and hate. I think, in the end, it is the ignorance of the masses that is at fault. The inability to think critically and see the bigger picture prevents the animals from understanding what is going on. I think the fact that only some animals were educated, leaving most ignorant, is the major problem.
