How did napoleon trick Frederick into paying more for the pile of wood?

The actual sale of the stack of lumber happens off text. Napoleon explains that he made such a big deal about how much the timber cost that Frederick paid too much for it. Napoleon later finds out that he was the one who was swindled: the bank notes that Frederick gave him were forged.
