Though most readers see Snowball in a fairly positive light, had he remained on animal farm, his tactics in running the farm might have been different than the pigs..... but just as negative. Snowball had big dreams but was a follower, not a leader. He was single minded, almost obsessive in his desire to focus on huge projects. Not that there's anything wrong with improving the general welfare..... but big projects and obsessive expectations tend to put the ego above the project, and the people it's supposed to serve. His principles were pure, but those same principles have also been known to be corruptive forces for ego-obsessed individuals.
