The animals have been manipulated to such a degree that they see no difference between the pigs and the humans. Thw two have become one and the same. Unfortunately, the animals minds have been so overwhelmed by propaganda they wouldn't know the difference anyway, and there are very few animals left who'd remember. The younger animals only knew what they were taught about the rebellion.... and Napoleon (along with his minions) was a master at rewriting history.
