why do you think so many animals confess disloyalty to napoelon? were their confessions truthful? also, what part might hysteria play in their confessions?

The confessions definitely come from a mixture of hysteria and intimidation (think The Crucible)........ are they guilty? No, not of what they're accused of, but they aren't intelligent enough to know the difference between what they actually did and what they're accused of.
