Ar the end of Chapter Nine, both Equality and the Golden one are seeking to find their own individualism. They know it exists, but they don't understand that the feelings they have for one another are all tied into the illusive "I" in "I" love you. They see their union as the union of "one," that together they are one, but they do not understand the ability to choose.
