Away from the city Equality is discovering the primal pleasures like sex are not shameful but rather beautiful. He is realizing the beauty of life and freedom with The Golden One. Certainly this new pastoral setting being almost magical when compared to the realities of the city feel emancipating. Shakespeare used this idea in his Comedies. Equality's life is so repressive and emotionless in the city that certainly the forest becomes a type of Eden, free and unfettered from the constraints of his previous dystopia.
