TC3. The Teacher Who Changed My Life Essay by Nicholas Gage

TC3. Gage says that Miss Hurd would probably deny that she "was the catalyst that sent (him) into journalism and indirectly caused all the good things that came after." Why do you think he says this?

Miss. Hurd sounds like a very strong but humble person. Her job was to teach, not to be congratulated. She believed students like the author achieved success with their own hard work with just a "little" encouragement from her.
