Was it brave or impulsive for Melba to sign up for Central High School? Explain.

It was certainly brave for Melba to sign up for Central High School. Because of the threat of violence, the black students chosen are limited from 12 to 9. Remember, Melba is only around 12 years old. She is a little girl who must face the wrath of a nation unwilling to let go of racial segregation. On the day Melba begins school a white mob had gathered and the National Guard had surrounded the school. This was terrifying for any little girl to say the least yet Melba became a symbol of courage against racial oppression.
