In my opinion, the background information on Henrietta's health reveals just how far madical research and knowledge has come, in large part, because of Henrietta's cells. Today, it is common knowledge that the HPV virus causes cervical cancer, and the treatment and prevention of HPV is a major concern (think about all the commercials). Personally, I think that some things are meant to be kept private. Health records are one of them.
